Prior to getting pregnant, I was very fit and toned. I ate very bad but actually exercised and was in the gym about 5 times a week. I had my daughter when I was 22 years of age. I was still very tiny and only gained a normal amount of weight. Months after having her, I started noticing that I wasn’t losing the weight.
I went to my physician to get some advice. She suggested that I should get my butt in the gym and to stop being lazy. This was unfortunate because I was a new mom, still living at my parent’s house, and I was eating unhealthy. You can imagine my stress at this point. Fast forward a year, I got pregnant again, but I never lost my first baby weight.
This was the most stressful time in my life, I was a mom already, a full-time student at University of Phoenix, pregnant, overweight, and dealing with marital problems. My mind was everywhere. After having my son via C-Section, I had to do several trips to the lactation clinic nearby to get him to breastfeed because we did not want to pay for formula like we did for my daughter.
